About the winery
Ten Minutes by Tractor started in 1997 with three family owned vineyards in Main Ridge, all ten minutes by tractor apart. Over the past 17 years, Martin and Karen have been the driving force that have taken Ten Minutes by Tractor on to become one of the leading cool climate wineries in Australia. At Ten Minutes by Tractor, their passion is great wine and great food. They offer a relaxed and intimate cellar door experience with in depth tastings where you can discover wines that are a true expression of the unique qualities and character of their vineyards. The restaurant opened in 2006, and has always been in many ways an extension of the cellar door. It’s an opportunity to learn more about our wines and how those wines can be enjoyed with great food. It’s also an opportunity for us to bring the produce of the region together into an environment in which everyone can relax, and enjoy, and to understand what makes the Mornington Peninsula as special as it is.

History & Geography
Our winery started in 1997 with three family owned vineyards in Main Ridge, all ten minutes by tractor apart. Shortly after releasing their first wines to the market, h 2003, Martin Spedding bought Ten Minutes by Tractor Wine Co. from the three families and since then has opened a new cellar door, restaurant and added four new vineyards. Each of our vineyard sites feature different aspects, slopes, soils, altitude and influence from the cool maritime breezes that wind their way through our valleys. This terroir and sense of place, explains everything about our wine. Places that are defined by the wines we make and which can seem like worlds apart: the refinement and vibrant acidity of Wallis; the elegance and poise of McCutcheon; the alluring aromatics and fine structure of Judd; the power and fruit purity of Coolart Road.
